BAE Systems is looking for a Senior Program Quality Engineer who will be a member of a cross-functional program team. Activities and Responsibilities could include:
Review of program contract requirements and develop/implement an effective quality plan
Provide clear communication and flow down of program quality requirements to all affected disciplines (Engineering, Operations, and Program Management)
Support to Supplier qualification activities
Support for Supplier Subcontract and Material Procurement activities
Quality Management Systems Audits
Control of Non-Conforming Materials including leading containment and disposition activities
Material Review Board and Failure Review Board participation
Manufacturing Support for Production Build including Process Review Board, Corrective Action Board and Configuration Control Board participation
Documentation / Configuration Analysis and Review
Driving Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) activities through to closure
Performance of data review activities to drive continuous improvement/zero defect initiatives

Required Skills and Education
- Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience or 8 years of experience in lieu of degree
- Strong and Demonstrated Communication Skills (written, verbal, visual) and interpersonal skills (listening and communicating within a group/team environment)
- Demonstrated teamwork contribution
- Demonstrated customer facing interaction and experience
- Ability to work independently and with little or no direct oversight
- Attention to detail
- Produce high quality work in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
- Support to Subtier suppliers, qualification activities and requirements flow down
- Experience participating in Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) activities
- Proficient in MS Office Products including Word, Excel, Power Point
- Quality experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strength in planning, time management, and organization.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills and Education
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or technical field
- Industry Experience with Defense Electronics
- Computers skills (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9001
- Familiarity with Mechanical/Assembly Drawings
- Support company proposal efforts by providing quality labor and materials estimates using various estimating tools such as Basis of Estimate (BOEs)
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training / experience / certification
- Understanding of drawings and Y14.5 GD&T with ability to determine compliance
- active secret clearance
