Naval Health Clinic Lemoore provides comprehensive medical care to active duty service members, retirees, and their families, offering services such as primary care, dental care, mental health support, pharmacy services, and specialty care referrals to ensure the health and readiness of the military community.

Primary Care Physician - RESPONSIBILITIES (listed are included but not limited to)
  • The Primary Care Physician conducts primary care examinations for patients across the neonatal to geriatric populations.
  • Perform primary care and administrative exams, including Physical Readiness Test (PRT) waivers, Preventive Health Assessments (PHA), Sea Duty/Operational Screening exams, School and sports physicals, and Pap and well-woman exams.
  • Diagnose and treat urgent and non-urgent diseases and injuries across all body organs and systems for patients of all ages.
  • The Primary Care Physician prescribes medications as appropriate.
  • Respond to medical emergencies within the clinic until the Medical Officer of the Day arrives.
  • Identify patients requiring care beyond the Military Treatment Facility's (MTF) capability and coordinate emergent transportation to other medical facilities.
  • Provide preventive and health maintenance care, including annual physicals, positive health behaviors, and self-care skills through education and counseling.
  • Order diagnostic tests as applicable and request consultation or referral with appropriate physicians, clinics, or other health resources as indicated.
  • Direct, perform, or assist in the instruction of other health care professionals within the scope of clinical privileges or responsibilities.
  • Participate in the provision of in-service training and educational lectures to clinic staff members, adhering to Government and professional clinical standards and accepted clinical protocols.
  • The Primary Care Physician initiates recommendations for Sick-in-Quarters (SIQ) and duty modifications for active-duty personnel in accordance with MTF instructions.

Primary Care Physician - REQUIREMENTS
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Medicine with an MD or DO degree.
  • Must have at least a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Family Practice setting within the past 5 years.
  • Must have an active, unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. state.
  • Should be Board Certified or Board Eligible, with board certification preferred, through the American Board of Internal Medicine, American Board of Family Practice, American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine, or American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians.
  • Should have a Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certifications.
