Key Responsibilities:
Market Development & Client Acquisition:
- Identify potential clients and open doors to new business opportunities
- Leverage industry insights and social media platforms to expand the company's reach
- Develop and execute market development plans to engage new customers and increase market share
Sales Strategy & Forecasting:
- Collaborate with the sales team to define and implement sales strategies
- Present and report on sales performance, provide insights into market conditions, and forecast future sales
Trade Shows & Networking:
- Attend relevant trade shows, conferences, and networking events
- Represent the company in meetings with potential clients, presenting technical solutions and business value
Partnerships & Business Development:
- Develop strategic partnerships with key contractors, technology providers, and other relevant organizations
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling within existing accounts
Technical Support & Expertise:
- Provide technical expertise in pre-sales discussions, helping to configure and present the right solutions for clients' needs
Sales Reporting & Performance Analysis:
- Regularly review and report on sales performance, market trends, and potential new business
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 3+ years of experience in a sales engineering or technical sales role
- Strong understanding of automated test solutions, test instrumentation, software tools (LabVIEW, Python, etc.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to build trust with customers and provide effective technical solutions
- Willingness to travel as needed to support sales activities, customer meetings, and product demonstrations
Compensation:
- $125k to $150k base salary plus commission (based on experience)
