About the Opportunity

We're seeking a Sr. Privacy Analyst, to support the Ellucian Legal team through the preparation and review of privacy documents and serve as a subject matter expert offering consistent support to the growing function within the organization. In this role, you'll work with other members of the Privacy team to execute the privacy strategy and collaborate with local and international business partners to facilitate data protection and

privacy compliance. You'll also assist in managing privacy incident responses as well as lead all responses to data subject access requests. We're looking for someone who can bring fresh ideas to the table-someone who wants to drive process improvements and further efficiency within the department. Where you will make an impact

• Serve as the first point of contact for Company employees in relation to privacy escalations, datasubject access requests, and privacy impact assessments.
• Lead all vendor privacy questionnaires, privacy impact assessments (PIAs), and data protection
• Impact assessments (DPIAs) to identify privacy risks where Ellucian processes personal data.
• On an annual basis, ensure the maintenance of Ellucian's data inventory by maintaining all records of processing activity (ROPAs).
• Coordinate the review of and input from appropriate sources, as needed, to complete privacy documents.
• Provide guidance on and assist in the development and maintenance of processes and
• procedures to help ensure compliance with Ellucian policies and privacy/data protection laws, regulations and guidelines.
• Provide guidance on and assist in developing a more mature state of data protection and privacy readiness.
• Consistently provide training, mentoring, and guidance to other legal team members, especially privacy analysts, privacy engineers, and other privacy team members.
• Act as a liaison with key internal departments to address and integrate privacy requirements
• Work with functional partners to develop, implement, and maintain systems related to cookies and data subject rights within our privacy management software tool.
• Provide guidance and assist legal counsel in implementing Ellucian global privacy projects, including, but not limited to, privacy impact assessments and data protection impact assessments.
• Manage process for handling data subject access requests.
• Assist in managing privacy incident response in collaboration with the Legal and Information Security departments.
• Monitor and update internal functions on data protection and privacy legal regulatory requirements that may affect them.
• Acquire and maintain advanced and thorough knowledge of Company systems that include personal data and stay informed about updates and modifications to these systems.

What will you bring

• A minimum of 7+ years of experience in privacy and technology project management/administration. Previous experience working for a software or technology company is preferred.
• Experience implementing and maintaining a privacy management solution is preferred.
• Ability to interact professionally with all levels of management, multiple geographies, internal subject matter experts, legal staff, vendors, and clients.
• Ability to communicate and manage personal project timelines and responsibilities.
• Ability to synthesize information from a variety of sources and present it in a meaningful and concise way.
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize in a constantly changing and fast paced environment
• Outstanding follow-up, organization and planning skills.
• Ability to work independently, often without detailed instructions.
• Advanced MS Office Suite Skills.

• Education/Certifications/Licenses Required
• Additional education or privacy certifications highly preferred
• CIPM, CIPP/US, or CIPP/E strongly preferred
