What you'll be doing:
The Project Chief is like a technical program manager that is responsible to lead the planning, development, testing and release of several ADAS and Chassis components for a vehicle program while working with suppliers and Engineering Support teams that include systems, wiring and validation engineers, Program Management, and Manufacturing teams as required to support and launch vehicle programs. Responsibilities include:
Program manager responsible for managing the design, implementation of multiple ADAS, Chassis components for vehicle programs
Single engineering contact point for communication between vehicle program and suppliers, purchasing, quality, assembly plants
Attend program level meetings for issue resolution and general support
Lead component timing, cost, weight, investment activities
Lead source package process, approval process for ED&D funding
Lead change management, technical resolution, program bulletin analysis
Coordinate different builds and assembly plant support
Ensure proper engineering support for problem resolution
What you need for this position:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science (Master's Degree preferred)
Knowledge of CAN based communication and tools
Outstanding communication and organization skills
5+ years of Design Release experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Program management experience
Experience managing and launching a vehicle
Experience with leading teams
Problem-solving skills to navigate through working teams across multiple departments
