We are looking to hire a Project Planner/Scheduler based out of our Calgary branch. The Project Planner/Scheduler is responsible for the development, maintenance, and oversight of project schedules to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope. This role requires a strong understanding of project management principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.

We are looking to hire a Project Planner/Scheduler based out of our Calgary branch. The Project Planner/Scheduler is responsible for the development, maintenance, and oversight of project schedules to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope. This role requires a strong understanding of project management principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create, maintain, and update comprehensive project schedules using project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar tools).
- Work closely with project managers and estimating teams to define project scope, objectives, and milestones.
- Analyze project requirements and develop detailed work breakdown structures (WBS).
- Use detailed schedules and WBS to build project specific field install work packages (FIWP).
- Monitor project progress, identifying potential delays and risks, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Conduct regular schedule reviews with project teams, providing insights on progress and performance.
- Prepare and present schedule reports and updates to stakeholders and management.
- Ensure that project scheduling practices align with organizational standards and methodologies.
- Assist in resource planning and allocation to optimize project execution.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to discussions on project timelines and deliverables.
BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience as a project planner/scheduler or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Projects.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Journeyman Electrical and/or Instrumentation certificate is preferred.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PMI-SP) are preferred.
