Direct Counsel is seeking a Trust & Estate Planning Associate to join a highly regarded Estate Planning Practice Group in Dallas. This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level associate to work on sophisticated estate planning, trust administration, and wealth management matters for high-net-worth individuals, businesses, and charitable organizations.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in estate planning, trust administration, and wealth transfer strategies
- Strong background in:
- Drafting complex estate plans and business succession planning documents
- Charitable giving and tax-exempt organization planning
- Estate, gift, and generation-skipping tax planning
- Probate proceedings for taxable and non-taxable estates
- Federal gift and estate tax returns
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting or a graduate degree in Tax preferred
- Strong drafting, communication, and interpersonal skills
- JD from an ABA-approved law school and active Texas Bar membership (or willingness to obtain timely admission)
