The trainer will also evaluate participants' skills, stay updated on industry advancements, and ensure all training aligns with AAON's commitment to excellence. Success in this position requires extensive HVAC experience, strong communication skills, and a passion for fostering technical growth and safety in the workplace.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Development: Designs and develops comprehensive training materials, modules, and curricula focused on commercial HVAC systems, with a focus on installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting practices.
- Psychrometric Chamber Training: Provides personalized, one-on-one instruction on operating psychrometric chambers.
- Training Delivery: Conducts engaging, in-person training sessions, workshops, and seminars, offering in-depth instruction on system operations, repairs, and safety protocols.
- Technical Expertise: Facilitates hands-on demonstrations and provides advanced technical guidance on HVAC equipment installation and troubleshooting techniques.
- Safety Training: Integrates workplace safety protocols and best practices into all training programs to promote a safety-first culture.
- Skill Assessment: Evaluates trainee knowledge and skills through assessments and practical exercises, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Program Enhancement: Stays current with industry trends and advancements in commercial HVAC technology to continuously update and improve training programs.
- Coordination: Works with OSUIT in developing and teaching AAON employees ACR skills, and AAON's Learning & Development team to ensure instructional practices and standards are consistent across the company.
- Understands and ensures regulatory standards, including ASHRAE, ANSI, AHRI, UL, and ISO.
- Mentors, trains, and guides technicians and team members, sharing knowledge, skills, and best practices to support their professional growth and development.
- Adheres to safety protocols and guidelines, promoting a safe working environment and minimizing risks to personnel and equipment.

- Proven hands-on experience in the commercial HVAC field, including installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Experience designing and delivering effective technical training programs, preferably within the HVAC industry.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts.
- Knowledge of instructional design principles and training delivery techniques.
- Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning tools (a plus).
- Dedication to maintaining AAON's standard of excellence.
- Able to locate parts, diagrams, and drawings independently within the AAON database.
Work Environment:
- Primarily works in an office environment.
- Periodic visits to the test lab and manufacturing facility with exposure to seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fumes.
- Sit/stand for prolonged periods
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Climbing and stooping
- Travel occasionally as needed
