Position Overview:
- The ServiceNow Developer plays an integral role in managing the ServiceNow platform for Venetian Casino Resort.
- This role serves as the technical design lead for ServiceNow code and architecture and works collaboratively with the ServiceNow Manager and business unit stakeholders to define solutions and processes within the application, along with providing system maintenance, ongoing process enhancements and incorporating the addition of new functionalities to the platform.
- All duties to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort's policies, practices, and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide technical design for ServiceNow code and architecture and is responsible for overall ServiceNow code quality Design, prototype, implement, test, and deploy business rules, technical solutions, scripts, user interface pages, actions and policies, scheduled jobs, import sets and transform maps, ACLs and notifications.
- Develop custom integration components (SSO, CMDB connectors etc.) and integrate systems with ServiceNow using mid-server, web services, email and other relevant technologies.
- Develop existing and custom applications within ServiceNow including integrations with other applications.
- Provide technical expertise in the ServiceNow toolsets, including modules such as Service Catalog, Service Portal, PPM, GRC and scoped applications, along with UX design Create and use update sets to move customizations between ServiceNow instances Design and maintain a highly available and recoverable environment.
- Provide administrative ServiceNow support, including advanced support via troubleshooting, implementing bug fixes and root cause analysis Document, maintain and update policies, procedures and controls for the operation of the ServiceNow platform and its SDLC Responsible for reviewing requirements to ensure that they are provided in sufficient detail to be accurately estimated and implemented.
- Work with process managers and stakeholders to define and deliver functional requirements and establish implementation plan.
- Assist in quality management reviews to ensure all business and design requirements are met Educate and inform stakeholders to ensure application and workflow designs and/or system constraints are understood.
- Experience in deployment related tasks to ensure successful Production roll out and post-production support
- Commit to the continuous improvement and learning of development and ServiceNow best practices, tools and technology Proactively keep ServiceNow skills current Manage and lead the development work of vendors and/or third party support.
- Mentor and share technical knowledge with service management team.
Education:
- 2-4 Year degree in Information Technology or a technical IT subject area.
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience of ServiceNow development and implementation (including tool integration, implementation, administration configuration and development).
- ServiceNow System Admin Certification ITIL Foundation certification, ITIL Intermediate certification preferred.
- Experience in ServiceNow implementation projects ranging from ITSM, Scoped Applications, Service Portal, Security Operations, CMDB, PPM and GRC Thorough understanding of ServiceNow Enterprise product suite.
- Fundamental understanding of the key technologies relevant to the ServiceNow integration solutions including: ServiceNow API's, SSO, SAML, SSL, Web Services, LDAP, JDBC, ODBC, REST, SCP, FTPS Web portal development skills, such as HTML, CSS, Angular JS, bootstrap.
- Ability to apply business concepts and requirements into a technical solution and specifications.
- Ability to create reports using the standard reporting engine, including development of KPIs, operational metrics and measurement of SLAs.
- Follow ServiceNow best practices (including scripting, security, implementation).
- Display aptitude in learning new modules based on training materials.
- Ability to collaborate across business units (within and outside of IT) to define process and implement solutions that meet business requirements.
- Demonstrate a proven ability to work well under pressure with tight deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and focus on delivering high quality work.
- Strong organization, planning, and execution skills.
