Overview
CAMBRIDGE, MA (NATIONWIDE SEARCH) - A Cambridge, MA family is seeking a full-time, highly experienced, and education-focused nanny for their 3-year-old son. The family is expecting a second baby in May and would love a nanny who is confident with both the toddler and the newborn though this role is on the toddler. The ideal candidate will have a teaching background and experience developing curriculum-based learning. A degree in early childhood education, child development, or a related field is strongly preferred.
The schedule is Monday-Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM, with flexibility for occasional evenings and travel (domestic and international). The family does travel roughly 1 week every 3 months and would most likely want the nanny to accompany them when required. Flexibility is key! Their son is outgoing, social, and well-traveled, attending preschool from 8:30 AM - 12 PM, with afternoons dedicated to structured, enrichment-based learning (reading, phonics, gross motor skills, and play). The family hopes to add music and sports classes to his schedule.
Candidates should be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and flu. The nanny will not be required to drive but should be comfortable in a walkable city environment with access to parks, libraries, and museums. Parking is available at the family's home.
The position offers $40+/hour gross via payroll, plus paid sick days, holidays, and vacation. Relocation assistance is available nationwide for the right candidate. Projected start date is March 1st, 2025.
Qualifications
BA/BS college degree | AA in related field of study
CPR/First Aid Certification (renew as needed)
Ability to make a one-year commitment unless applying for a temporary position
A passion for working with children
Two+ years childcare experience
Excellent work and personal references
U.S. driver's license (this does not apply to NYC residents)
Complete Stop the Silence Training upon Membership
Fluent in English/Bilingual a plus
Competent swimmer
Non-smoker
Willing to go through extensive Background Check
Must be Live-Scanned and registered with Trustline if CA resident
Willingness to show proof of immunizations
No-cell phone driving signed guarantee
Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
