Job Summary

Develop applications for Smart Grid solutions using C#. Leverage new and advanced features of the .NET framework including WCF, WPF, MVC.

Handles R&D hardware, firmware, software, and complete solutions projects as part of a cross-functional team.

Collaborates with team members and other R&D teams in design, development, and validation of complete Smart Grid solutions. Collaborates with team members for component delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
Communicate with Software Architects, Systems Engineering and Product Management to understand and implement requirements.
Create and improve applications using C#
Create database queries and scripts for multiple database engines (Oracle and SQL Server)
Work with teams in an Agile Scrum environment to build software in a rapid, iterative way.
Respond quickly to changes in requirements.
Assist with testing software in a live environment.
Troubleshooting software and system
Provide estimates for code development efforts.
Contribute to component and/or solution design, development, documentation, and validation.
Work on agile development teams, collaborating with multiple cross-discipline architecture teams to develop hardware and software components as part of L+G Smart Grid solutions.
Participate in recruitment, development and mentoring of junior engineers.
Contribute to area-specific continuous improvement initiatives.
Contribute to innovative technology and solutions development and/or validation.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience with Angular (MUST), C#, ASP.NET, .NET Framework 4.5, WCF, WPF, and Visual Studio Unit Test framework
1-5 years of experience in Software Engineering using Angular, C# or equivalent experience in other High Level OO code
Experience using MSMQ, LINQ, XML, SOAP, MVC, and Unity Framework a plus
Experience with database scripting and profiling for Oracle and/or SQL Server
Tools: TFS 2017 or higher, Visual Studio 2019\2022, Git
Experience with automation technologies (i.e.. Selenium, Robot, or Python) a plus
Experience with Linux a plus
Knowledge of development processes, tools, and related frameworks.
Knowledge of relevant development and/or validation methodologies.
Knowledge of AMI and Smart Grid Systems and Solutions
Advanced design, development, or validation skills in functional area.
Ability to understand the code\feature base and deliver assigned improvements.
Ability to design well-organized code\testing methodologies.
Ability to complete\validate medium features with minimal oversight.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Similar
1-5 years of experience in Software Engineering using Angular, C# or equivalent experience in other High Level OO code

Pay is in the range of $67,100 - $100,287 per year. The position is eligible for a 401(k) match and consideration for an annual bonus. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, and certifications or other professional licenses held.
