Position Summary:
The Director of Human Resources for Fisher Barton is responsible for leading all Human Resource functions of the organization in accordance with the policies and practices of the company, and the laws regulations and rulings of governmental organizations.
In this role, you will lead a team of HR Professionals in the following functional areas: talent acquisition, talent development, employee relations, compensation and benefits, and employee engagement in a manufacturing environment.
This role will also be responsible for the strategic human resource planning to provide the organization with the best talent available and to position the organization as the employer of choice, in line with the company's three core values:

Work Location: 700 S. Water St. | Watertown | WI | 53094
Shift/Hours: Monday to Friday 1st Shift, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Travel: Travel to Plants in Sun Prairie, Watertown, Waukesha and Rockford IL, at least monthly or more frequently as needed.

- Organizational Development: Lead the Fisher Barton University program to provide training and career development so that Fisher Barton Employees can aspire to grow their career entirely within the company, via succession planning and career path discussions.
- Legal Compliance: Lead the organization in the compliance with EEOC, legal procedures involved in the Hiring, Termination, FMLA, Compensation and Benefits Administration and other key processes.
- Morale and Retention: Lead the Company's efforts in Employee Engagement to provide a Safe, Respectable and Hospitable work environment.
- Standardize Policies and Procedures across 5 Business Units.
- Prepare various reports for management review to include HR metrics, turnover rate, safety statistics, etc.
- Responsible for budget performance and for initiating cost saving directives in the human resource department.

Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to relate to a diverse range of employees on the manufacturing floor, and in the offices.
- Requires a broad knowledge of employment, compensation and benefits, training and development, labor relations, and organization planning., in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and personnel policies and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from the Board of Directors, groups of managers, executives, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Requires the ability to operate various software such as MicroSoft Office suite , ADP, etc.
- Requires expert level use of ADP, or the ability to achieve mastery.
Required Qualifications:
- 8-10 years Human Resources Manager experience in a Manufacturing Environment
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development
- SPHR Certification
- Experience as the top HR executive of a division or organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or Master's Degree in a related field
Current Direct Reports:
- Direct line supervision of HR Managers (4), HR Generalists (3), HR Analyst (1), Administrative Executive (1), Talent Development Manager (1), Talent Acquisition Specialist (1)

- The office environment is considered normal. Temperature and noise levels in the plants require regular use of personal protective equipment.
