Pathways operates a Medicare REACH ACO, a Medicare Advantage MSO, and a Commercial MSO responsible for approximately 16,000 patients throughout North-West/Central Florida. Our service area is The Villages, down to St. Petersburg, across to Mount Dora, and areas in between. Pathways also operates a robust hospital medicine group, manages several of its affiliated medical practices, and an insurance agency.
Job Summary
The IT Governance Manager & Senior Healthcare Data Analyst is responsible for managing the IT staff while also serving as the organization's lead healthcare data analyst. This role ensures IT operations align with organizational objectives, maintains regulatory compliance, oversees EHR system performance, and manages all internal healthcare reporting and data analytics.
Role and Responsibilities
Position Responsibilities:
Specific:
Create and enforce IT policies and best practices
Conduct regular checks and updates to ensure the security of the organization's data and network.
Identify opportunities for improvements and oversee system updates, upgrades, and migrations.
Oversee major IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
This position typically works in an office environment but may require occasional travel to other sites or remote locations
Standard working hours apply, but flexibility may be needed to address urgent IT issues or perform maintenance during off-hours
Provide timely and effective technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues
Document and track issues, resolutions, and follow-up actions using a ticketing system
Manage software installations, updates, and licensing compliance
Perform routine maintenance and updates on IT equipment and systems
Monitor network performance and address connectivity issues to ensure optimal performance
Maintain network security by implementing and managing firewalls, antivirus software, and other protective measures
Provide training and guidance to end-users on IT best practices, new technologies, and software applications
Create and maintain user manuals, guides, and knowledge base articles to assist users with common issues and tasks
Conduct regular IT orientation sessions for new employees
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in various systems, including Active Directory and other enterprise applications
Assist with the administration of email systems, cloud services, and other IT infrastructure
Perform regular backups and ensure data integrity and disaster recovery readiness
Assist in IT projects, such as system upgrades, migrations, and deployments
Collaborate with other IT team members to plan, execute, and document project activities
Provide post-implementation support and troubleshooting for new systems and technologies
Maintain a high level of customer service by addressing user needs promptly and professionally
Follow up with users to ensure satisfactory resolution of issues and solicit feedback for improvement
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with end-users and team members
Stay updated on the latest technology trends and advancements in IT support
Identify opportunities to improve IT processes, systems, and services
Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance technical skills and knowledge
Core:
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Education: Associate's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred or a combination of education and experience. Experience: 5+ years of experience in IT management, preferably within a healthcare setting preferred Certification/Licensure: CompTIA A+, Network+, CISSP, PMP, ITIL or other relevant IT certifications preferred. Training and Knowledge Required at Time of Hire: Familiarity with healthcare IT systems, including electronic health records (EHR) and health information exchanges (HIE).Understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH). Experience in managing and optimizing IT budgets.
