Duties: Location: Sunnyvale, CA (mostly onsite with some remote days)Minimum Years of Experience: 10+ Shortlisting will be conducted by EOD on Tuesday, 2/18. Must have Skills:PCB Design and Layout: Proficiency in designing and laying out PCBs usingtools like Altium Designer, Mentor DA, or Allegro System Architect. Analog and Digital Circuit Design: Strong understanding of analog and digitalcircuit design principles, including low power, high speed, and RF designs. Communication Protocols: Knowledge of communication protocols such asUSB, HDMI, and display interfaces. Programming Languages: Familiarity with programming languages like C, C++,Python, and Assembly Language. Lab Equipment and Testing: Experience with lab equipment like oscilloscopes,spectrum analyzers, and reworking boards for debug.Nice to have Image Processing and Computer Vision: Knowledge of image processing andcomputer vision techniques, including experience with tools like MATLAB. Sensor Integration and IoT: Experience with sensor integration and IoTtechnologies, including knowledge of sensor interfaces and communicationprotocols. FPGA and ASIC Design: Familiarity with FPGA and ASIC design principles,including experience with tools like Xilinx, Altera, or Verilog/VHDL. Power Management and Energy Harvesting: Knowledge of power managementand energy harvesting techniques, including experience with low power designand energy-efficient systems. Mechanical CAD and 3D Modeling: Familiarity with mechanical CAD and 3Dmodeling tools like Solidworks, including experience with designing andsimulating mechanical systems.Day-to-Day ResponsibilitiesReview and approve plan layouts, including the creation of new designs andmodifications to existing ones. Evaluate product prototypes, working models, or theoretical modelsconstructed using computer simulations. Develop detailed functional specifications and design flow/tradeoff documents. Support the introduction of new technologies. Serve as a subject matter expert for engineering staff, providing guidance onspecifications and evaluating interfaces between hardware and software, as wellas operational and performance requirements of overall systems. Provide training and support to system designers and users. Design and develop hardware and peripherals, including system-on-chip (SoC),support logic, microprocessors, custom integrated circuits, and systeminterconnections. Supervise technicians, engineering designers, or other technical supportpersonnel as needed.
