Position Overview:
The Project Manager is responsible for executing all phases of an Electronic Health Record's implementation project. The project manager must execute the entire project lifecycle (initiate, plan, execute, control, close) on time and within budget. The project manager must be comfortable with managing several active projects at any given time and must be familiar with the Systems Development Life Cycle and traditional (Waterfall) and agile project management methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, etc.)

The project manager must be able to manage projects and manage assigned resources which comprise the project team (i.e. Systems Analysts, Clinical Analysts, Billing Analysts. etc.). The project manager must also be able to report and present to internal and external stakeholders on a weekly and monthly basis.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage and drive project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope.
  • Develop or update project plans including project scope and objectives, tracking, and maintaining key project performance indicators, and monitoring and weekly internal and external reporting on key project tasks/milestones.
  • Submit project deliverables, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Prepare project status reports.
  • Schedule and facilitate meetings related to projects.
  • Negotiate with key customer stakeholders and internal stakeholders to set achievable timelines for assigned projects.
  • Actively participate and negotiate resource time in monthly development planning sessions.
  • Manage project invoicing processes and follow-up on payments in arrears.


Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, or Health Informatics. MBA preferred.
  • PMP or Scrum Certification preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience managing technology-based projects required. Experience with EHR or ERP project management preferred.
  • Must possess high Emotional Intelligence.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong presentation and customer service skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, problem solving abilities and sharp attention to detail.
  • Must be able to execute and possess strong organizational skills - prioritizing work and daily tasks.
  • Outstanding work ethic, drive, motivation, and commitment to quality results and completing tasks on time.
  • Must possess strong skills in MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or Google Workspace including Sheets, Docs, and Slides
  • Must possess beginner-to-moderate knowledge of Microsoft Project and demonstrate proficiency of use in the management of prior projects.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% and must be able to work some nights and weekends.
