This role can be located in any of the cities that Volo currently operates in - Baltimore, MD, Boston, MA, Denver, CO, San Diego, CA, New York City, NY, San Francisco, CA, San Jose, CA, Washington, D.C

Salary Range: $110,000 - $140,000 per year

Role Overview:

This role is responsible for building and executing a comprehensive customer acquisition and brand growth strategy for Volo. You will oversee paid digital and social media, work closely with the local marketing managers & sales directors (as well as local leadership), and drive strategic growth throughout all Volo markets. You will also collaborate cross-functionally with creative, retention, and product teams to ensure a seamless and engaging experience for new customers. You will be obsessed about how and where we acquire new Volo players.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Acquisition & Digital Growth
  • Own and execute paid digital and social media strategy to drive customer acquisition locally and at scale.
  • Develop and refine marketing attribution strategies to measure the effectiveness of acquisition channels.
  • Work closely with the product and technology teams to develop a personalized and seamless new customer experience.


Local Marketing & Field Operations
  • Support local marketing managers in key markets to drive grassroots and community engagement.
  • Create scalable toolkits for local teams to execute impactful, on-brand marketing campaigns, with a focus on priority customer segments.
  • Recruit and develop top-tier local/field marketing talent to support company growth as we expand.


Strategic Brand Initiatives
  • Identify and secure national-level strategic partnerships to enhance brand awareness and drive customer acquisition.
  • Work closely with sponsorship team to help activate co-branded experiences that drive quantifiable results for the sponsor and Volo.
  • Work closely with the creative team to execute a brand refresh and ensure brand consistency across all channels.
  • Develop and launch a new customer welcome series in collaboration with the retention team, ensuring high engagement from first touchpoint to loyal participation.
  • Work closely with product teams to ensure the best-in-class user experience on digital platforms.


Who You Are:
  • 7-10+ years of experience in brand growth, customer acquisition, or marketing, ideally in a community-driven or lifestyle brand.
  • Relevant experience in paid digital and social media, with a track record of driving customer growth at scale.
  • Experience managing and scaling local marketing teams, with an understanding of field marketing dynamics.
  • Keen eye for creative and passion for developing and implementing successful - and unsuccessful - campaigns.
  • Understanding of marketing attribution models and data-driven decision-making...you strike a good balance of data-driven decisions and instinct.
  • Strong ability to develop and maintain high-impact strategic partnerships.
  • A creative and strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
