Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Process Consultant with in-depth knowledge of Property and Casualty Insurance processes, particularly in Claims and Underwriting. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience working within the Property and Casualty insurance domain, a deep understanding of end to end claims and underwriting processes, and hands on experience with leading platforms such as Guidewire, Duck Creek, and other relevant claims and underwriting systems.
As a Process Consultant, you will play a key role in evaluating, designing, and optimizing business processes to improve operational efficiency and drive business transformation. You will work closely with cross functional teams, leveraging your domain expertise to develop solutions and ensure the effective implementation of process improvements across claims and underwriting workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Optimization & Improvement:
Analyze, map, and document current state processes for Claims and Underwriting functions within Property and Casualty insurance, identifying areas for improvement and driving process optimization initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with business leaders, product owners, and technical teams to understand business requirements, identify pain points, and ensure solutions align with business goals and objectives.
System Integration & Configuration:
Leverage expertise in Guidewire, Duck Creek, and other claims and underwriting platforms to guide system configurations, integrations, and enhancements. Ensure systems support the defined processes and business requirements.
Change Management:
Lead change management efforts related to process improvements, including stakeholder communication, training, and user adoption of new processes or tools.
Business Analysis & Documentation:
Conduct detailed business analysis, create process maps, user stories, and functional specifications. Ensure thorough documentation of process flows, business rules, and requirements.
Risk & Compliance:
Assess and ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies while optimizing processes. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Quality Assurance & Testing:
Support system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) efforts to ensure implemented solutions meet the desired functional requirements and quality standards.
Skills & Qualifications:
Certifications (Preferred):
Relevant certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Guidewire Certification, or Duck Creek Certification are a plus.

- Handson experience working with Guidewire, Duck Creek, or similar underwriting and claims platforms.
- Proven ability to consult on process design, optimization, and technology enablement within the insurance industry.
- Technical Proficiency:
- In depth knowledge of core insurance systems and platforms like Guidewire Claim Center, Duck Creek, Guidewire Policy Center, and other underwriting and claims systems.
- Strong understanding of insurance workflows, including policy administration, underwriting, and claims management.
- Excellent business process analysis and reengineering skills.
- Proven ability to document and map end to end processes, identify inefficiencies, and provide actionable solutions.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking.
- Experience leading or supporting cross functional projects, preferably in an agile environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple workstreams, and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Strong collaboration skills, able to work effectively across teams and geographies.
