The Public Works Planning Manager is a full-time exempt position with benefits and a preferred hiring range of $38.68 - $43.51 per hour (equivalent to $80,454 - $90,500 annually); however, an exact salary will be dependent upon the selected candidate's qualifications/experience and in compliance with City policy.

As the Planning Manager, you'll serve a vital role in overseeing transportation infrastructure safety, multimodal travel grants, and the review of design plans for transportation improvements in addition to managing transportation safety initiatives, traffic calming measures, and long-range planning. Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in planning, urban planning, urban design, engineering, or related field, and extensive (6+ years) relevant professional experience in planning and/or engineering. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be used to meet this requirement.

The following are preferred qualifications but are not required for consideration:
  • Experience in GIS and reading and comprehending street mapping and engineering/construction site plans.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification.
