ECS is seeking an experienced growth and operations director to lead identification, qualification, and strategic account growth. This role is responsible for building customer relationships, advising on capture strategies, and enabling winning proposals. The director will create account plans, interact with potential customers and industry partners, qualify opportunities, and support pursuit activities. Although not immediately, it is expected that the director will run their own P&L at a future date. The candidate is responsible for high-priority growth opportunities associated with one or many of the following functional areas: cyber security, cloud, enterprise IT services, AI/ML, data analytics, and application services.
Specific responsibilities include:

The director will create account plans, interact with potential customers and industry partners, qualify opportunities, and support pursuit activities. Specific responsibilities include:
- Supports the customer relationship management strategy and engages senior Government executives
- Leads stakeholder management and keeps the ECS leadership team informed and engaged, including timely escalation of issues needing resolution
- Leads development and implementation of the Account Plans and Growth Plans for aligned accounts (for example Treasury, Commerce, Transportation, NASA, USPS, etc)
- Drives the expansion of the ECS' new business pipeline for accounts
- Identifies opportunities, and evaluates and prioritizes opportunities based on ECS' ability to pursue and win
- Leads customer requirement influencing strategy, requirement interpretation and solution generation
- Understands the account competitive marketplace; develops ECS strategy for capability differentiation
- Builds positive ECS brand in the marketplace
- Communicates and collaborates with technical, functional, and operational leadership across ECS
- Minimum of 10 years of successful account management and delivery experience leading federal civilian growth for Federal Civilian agencies; preference given to candidates with additional background and experience in formal capture discipline
- Successful experience leading and advising on large opportunities (greater than $50M in total contract value)
- Successful past performance developing customer relationships; existing list of contacts within industry and within the agencies that are relevant to ECS growth plans
- Proven experience developing a qualified pipeline, building industry relationships, and advising or leading capture efforts
- Experience working with technical teams to develop and evolve win strategies, key offer elements, competitive discriminators and resulting win themes
- Strong briefing and writing skills; experience presenting to executive leadership
- Must have in-depth knowledge of the Federal acquisition and budgeting
