The University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Department of Pediatrics, Division of Rheumatology is seeking applicants for a full-time, open rank academic position.

Academic rank at the time of appointment shall be commensurate with experience and credentials.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include the practice of Rheumatology, commitment to clinical care, supervision of residents and students.

Responsibilities of this position may include leading the Division of Rheumatology, and supporting faculty development of Rheumatologists.

Qualifications

  • Requires an M.D., M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent degree, and board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Rheumatology.

Departmental Preferences:
  • Board certified/eligible in Pediatric Rheumatology.
  • Expertise is welcome but not required in the area of leadership in building clinical and research teams and mentoring established and junior researchers and trainees.
  • Research or scholarship responsibilities may include experience in clinical, translational, or basic research, as well as in quality, health services and outcomes, epidemiology, implementation and dissemination research, or medical informatics.
  • Established applicants with a clinical, translational, or basic research program who are looking to expand their personal research efforts, and to nucleate development of a larger program that includes investigators focused on areas of rheumatic or non-rheumatic pediatric medicine are encouraged to apply.
