The "Megapack Sales Team" focuses on the sale of battery energy storage (BESS) equipment to customers including electric utilities, independent power producers and renewable energy developers. Projects are typically large, utility-scale BESS deployments that provide capacity, grid services, or integration of renewables to the grid. The Megapack business has grown exponentially in recent years and is well positioned for significant additional growth, becoming a substantial part of Tesla's overall business.
This dynamic role supports the Sales Team and Sales Team Leadership with effective and efficient management of the pipeline and achievement of overarching team goals. This role will own the systems and processes that support and guide the sales team in day to day activities. The Sales Specialist will be responsible for pipeline data integrity, forecasting/reporting, process management, systems management, and directly supporting team leaders with strategic initiatives.
While this role will be primarily internal-facing, it will provide significant support to external sales-related activities.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the success of the Utility Energy Storage sales team through pipeline management, process management, internal coordination and direct support of bid and approval activities for Megapack opportunities
  • Manage and maintain the sales pipeline, ensuring accurate tracking of opportunities, deal progression, and forecasting to support sales planning and leadership decision-making
  • Ensure data integrity across CRM and internal sales systems, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies to maintain a high-quality, reliable pipeline
  • Develop, update, and own content library and databases for formal proposal responses
  • Support and refine proposal generation processes spanning all relevant stakeholders involved in producing a proposal to meet deadlines without affecting the quality of the submission including but not limited to Customers, Sales, Legal, Growth and Engineering
  • Proactively manage and prioritize system enhancements, report system issues and manage feature requests to enhance system functionality and user experience, ensuring seamless operational support for sales activities
  • Ensure the team is equipped to deliver complete and comprehensive proposals on schedule through efficient bid development process and internal review process


Requirements
  • 2+ years minimum work experience in the renewable energy space and/or power sector
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Working knowledge of battery systems, power conversion, and grid markets
  • Experience in sales operations, business analytics or CRM management
  • Forecasting and reporting expertise - familiarity with sales metrics, forecasting methodologies, and pipeline health monitoring, with experience supporting sales leaders with data-driven decisions
  • Strong collaborative work in a team setting
  • Strong CRM background and experience with Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and Word skills - particular emphasis on effective messaging and formatting

      $78,000 - $117,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

      Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
