Litigation Attorney
We are seeking a skilled Litigation Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience handling cases at various stages of litigation and be prepared to take on an active caseload immediately. While first-chair jury trial experience is preferred, it is not required. This role involves managing litigation files, drafting pleadings and motions, attending hearings and trials, and negotiating settlements.
Qualifications
Preferred: First-chair jury trial experience, including trying cases to verdict.
Strong background in depositions, dispositive motions, and litigation strategy.
Exceptional analytical, oral advocacy, and writing skills.
Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and work independently.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in client intake and case evaluation as needed.
Gather and analyze liability and damage evidence.
Identify potential claims against additional responsible parties.
Negotiate settlements with insurance adjusters in litigation cases.
Determine litigation strategy in collaboration with clients.
Draft, file, and manage pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
Oversee discovery, including written discovery and responses.
Hire and coordinate with expert witnesses such as accident reconstructionist or medical professionals.
Prepare for and attend mediations, trials, and post-trial motions.
Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case status.
Work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and legal staff to ensure efficient case management.
Stay informed of legal developments and implement best practices in litigation.
