The Department of Neurology is seeking an open rank research professor who will work with a faculty member or team on interdisciplinary research projects involving the design of health care systems to improve the quality and outcomes of patient care. The appointee will also be responsible for training and collaborating with clinician researchers interested in healthcare design and healthcare delivery applications. The incumbent will guide and contribute to the preparation of manuscripts and will contribute to the conceptualization, preparation, and submission of grant applications as Co-Investigator, Multiple Principal Investigator, or Principal Investigator. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications. The appointee will also be encouraged to develop collaborations across the Division and the University to support interdisciplinary research requiring application of robust design principles and methods, including, but not limited to, collaboration with Divisional units requiring support for healthcare delivery (re)design.
Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must have completed a doctoral degree in Design, Public Health, Epidemiology, Economics, Engineering, or related fields.
