What are the top skills required for this role?
1) Knowledge of ITIL framework, particularly Event management, Incident management, Problem management and Availability Management
2) Familiarity with service level agreements (SLAs) and their impact on availability
3) Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components, including servers, networks, databases, and applications.
4) Proficiency in monitoring tools and technologies
5) Generate regular availability reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) like uptime, downtime, mean time to recover (MTTR), and service level compliance.
6) Analyze data to identify trends and patterns impacting application availability and propose corrective actions.
7) Data analysis skills to interpret system metrics and generate meaningful reports
8) Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Job Description/ Responsibilities
Abilities to perform the essential functions.
1. Bachelor's degree and five years of experience in development or application support or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
2. In- depth knowledge in information systems and ability to identify, apply, and implement best practices.
3. Understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function.
4. Ability to plan and manage projects.
5. Ability to solve complex problems by applying best practices.
6. Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates.
7. Ability to interpret and convey complex, difficult, or sensitive information.
