As a member of the UC organization, you'll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.
Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) is looking for a Senior Product Manager to help define and build the future of cloud computing. Customers around the world rely on Amazon EC2 to provide elastic, high performance, secure, and cost effective resources to scale their infrastructure to keep up with their changing business needs. Within the AWS Private Pricing team, you will help build our worldwide pricing strategy as well as pricing models designed to accelerate cloud adoption and simplify migrations; and the tooling we require to improve the customer experience. As a member of the broader EC2 Product Management team, you'll join other respected product and engineering leaders to create the future of the computing platform.
This role sits within the EC2 Pricing organization. Our team managed public and private pricing tooling for services Deals Desk supports, including EC2, S3, EBS, EC2N, NAT Gateway, among others.

Define high-quality roadmaps based on team strategy and vision
Develop detailed, crisp business narratives and user stories that can be used to create pricing strategies, product specifications and new features
Define business cases, competitive analysis, pricing analysis, and financial (P&L) models
Work closely with product and service leaders, sales teams, solution architects, business development and engineering teams to solve complex product and pricing issues
Become the subject matter expert on specific services and use cases; recommend features, functionality, and tools to help customers more easily adopt AWS products and services
Manage prioritization and trade-offs between customer experience, performance and operational support load
Develop high quality reporting for executive leadership

Key job responsibilities
You own both the Deal Management Console roadmap for all services Deals Desk supports (EC2, Storage, EBS, among others) and the EC2 Private Pricing Roadmap. Both of these roadmaps support strategic deals for the Compute organization under Dave Brown.
DMC is used by Deals Desk to analyze, qualify and ultimately approve deals submitted by Sales teams. The EC2 Private Pricing roadmap builds the different pricing models we use to provide competitive prices to our most strategic customers. These pricing models are onboarded to DMC for Deals Desk and other teams to use.

A day in the life
You'll manage the requirements from Deals Desk and other partner teams. For example, you'll partner with AWS Fintech to determine how to integrate pricing optimization functionality into DMC.
You'll establish the metrics needed to ensure the features and products you own are meeting/exceeding expectations.
You will shadow deal requests with Deals Desks and co-write private pricing strategy papers that turn into 5Q and PRFAQ artifacts for new private pricing features.
You are part of an on call that helps answer customer questions about pricing and implementation.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
- Master's degree

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market.
