Overview

Mercy Medical Group is seeking a PA or NP to join our orthopedic team in Sacramento, CA. Our growing orthopedic division is comprised of 7 surgeons, 2 sports med doctors, and 6 APPs.

• Partner primarily with one experienced Orthopedic Surgeon to form a care team
• NO CALL, NIGHTS OR WEEKENDS. Great quality of life!
• Split time between clinic and first assist in OR (PA or NP with RNFA), but clinic only option available
• Prior orthopedic experience is desirable, but not required
• Excellent compensation and benefits
• Compensation Range: $141,158 - $187,358 / Year

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including health history, physical examination, and diagnostic tests as needed
• Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory studies
• Prescribe medications and other treatments as necessary
• Provide patient education and counseling on disease management, lifestyle modification, and medication adherence
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient outcomes
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education programs to maintain and enhance clinical skills and knowledge

Qualifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in California
• NPI and DEA license
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
