Qualifications:
- A registered nurse with four years experience within the last five years in Hospice
- EMR experience highly desirable, Wellsky preferred
- This role requires a valid driver's license and a good driving record as a condition of employment. Associates must comply with all state and federal driving regulations
- Associates in roles requiring driving are responsible for maintaining a valid and active driver's license. Failure to maintain a valid license may result in reassignment, suspension, or termination in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
- One year of experience supervising others to include: setting performance expectations, coaching, motivating, promoting collaboration and teamwork, managing change, providing performance feedback, delegating effectively, resolving conflicts, etc.
- Ability to conduct bereavement support groups Demonstrates ability to plan, organize and make effective decisions
- You may be required to work outside of your regular hours depending on business needs
What you'll be doing:
- Serve as a role model and set an example for nursing staff and other members of the health care Team
- Serve as a resource and support system to staff in problem solving and determine appropriate interventions
- In collaboration with the Administrator, determine the hiring, orientations, retention, evaluations, discipline, counseling or termination of the hospice's team associates
- Adhere to budget requirements regarding labor, pharmacy, DME, and medical supply costs. Collaborate with the RN Case Manager and the attending physician to coordinate the delivery of patient care
- Review all higher level of care patients including respite, general inpatient and continuous care
- Oversees both clinical and management responsibility for his/her team and serves as liaison to and conduit between the Administrator, Case Managers, clinical staff on his/her respective team, patients, their families, and the community
