Salary Range: $100,000 - $115,000 annually

Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Managing the inhouse fleet of delivery trucks and pickup trucks
- Purchasing and maintaining vehicles for deliveries
- Registering and licensing vehicles
- Finding ways to cut costs and maximize profits
- Selecting carriers for transportation and negotiating rates and contracts with carriers for 3rd party shipments to and from our facilities
- Responding to and resolving complaints and problems
- Keeping up-to-date on shipping carriers, routes and rates and any changes to them
- Developing and implementing fleet management policies and procedures
- Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
- Overseeing the maintenance and repair of all company vehicles
- Managing vehicle inventory and ensuring that all vehicles are properly registered and insured
- Planning and scheduling regular vehicle maintenance to ensure operational efficiency
- Managing and tracking fuel consumption and expenses
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards
Qualifications
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience
- Great written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent leadership skills, including goal-setting, motivation and training
- Expert knowledge of best driving, delivery, vehicle maintenance and other industry practices
- Basic math and data analysis skills
- Familiarity with transportation scheduling and management software
- Understanding of basic vehicle mechanics, including the ability to identify when major repairs are needed
- Ability to set and monitor a budget
- Good problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Exceptional organization, time management and multitasking abilities
- Keen attention to detail
Additional Information
