Supporting the first line of defense at Dealer Services, the Practice Leader, Intelligence and Risk will ensure integrated and continuous risk management, using structured and consistent processes to identify, assess, manage, and control risks and their impact on activities and results. This role will evaluate the sectors risk profile and confirm adherence to required risk appetite and tolerance.
This role will report to the Senior Director, Risk Management and Compliance of IADS-IAAF.
What will I be Doing:
- Develop and implement the regulatory risks framework and strategy in alignment with the organization's objectives and risk management policies.
- Support the Business Compliance Officer in mentoring and coaching a team of compliance advisors providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the team's success in identifying, assessing, and managing risks.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization to identify and assess regulatory and legal risks, implementing effective control measures and mitigation strategies.
- Establish solid working relationship with the second line of defense;
- Oversee the implementation and monitoring of risk management processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Analyze and report on key regulatory risks metrics and trends, providing recommendations for improvement and proactive risk management.
- Conduct compliance risk assessments and develop risk profiles for key business activities, processes, and functions, identifying areas for improvement and enhancement.
- Act as a subject matter expert on regulatory risks, providing guidance and support to other teams and departments on risk-related matters.
- Act as Deputy Business Compliance Officer when the incumbent is unavailable or required elsewhere.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory changes related to regulatory risks, integrating relevant insights into the organization's risk management
What do I need to be successful in the role:
- Bachelor's degree in Business,, Law, Risk Management, or related field.
- Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CRM, FRM, etc.) is preferred or member of the Bar;
- Minimum of 10 years in the industry and or 7 years specifically in regulatory risks management or relevant field, with a proven track record of leadership.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of regulatory risks, including risk assessment methodologies, control frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and communicate complex risk-related information to diverse audiences.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, driving performance and fostering a positive and inclusive work culture.
What would be an asset but not required:
- Experience working in a regulated industry (e.g., financial services, healthcare, etc.)
- Advanced French both verbal and written communication

Compensation
Thetypical hiring range for this position is from $95,000 and $140,000 annually; the base pay offered is based on location and may vary depending on skills, job-related knowledge, experience, and internal equity. All permanent employees of iA are also entitled to an annual bonus.
