Civil Senior Designer - Nuclear Infrastructure

Support critical nuclear design projects at a high-security facility!

Your Mission:

We are seeking a Civil Senior Designer to contribute to the Savannah River Plutonium Processing Facility (SRPPF) at Savannah River Site (SRS)-a key component of the nation's nuclear security program. As part of a team supporting a global leader in engineering, procurement, and construction, you'll play a pivotal role in designing site layouts, grading, drainage, and underground utilities for complex nuclear projects.

This role requires strong technical expertise in Autodesk Civil 3D and 2D/3D CAD design tools and the ability to collaborate across disciplines to ensure the seamless integration of civil infrastructure.

What You'll Do:
Perform Civil Design Work - Develop site layouts, grading plans, drainage systems, erosion control, and underground utilities

Utilize Advanced Design Tools - Work with Autodesk Civil 3D, Navisworks, Bentley OpenRoads, MicroStation, and AutoCAD

Conduct Material Take-Offs & Tabulations - Perform bulk material quantity analysis for procurement and construction planning

Support Engineering & Construction Teams - Provide technical support to procurement, subcontracting, and field construction

Collaborate Across Disciplines - Coordinate design solutions with structural, mechanical, and nuclear engineers

Ensure Project Quality & Compliance - Execute work following DOE orders, federal, state, and local engineering codes

What You Bring to the Table:
10+ years of experience in civil design and engineering
Expertise in site planning, drainage, grading, and underground utilities modeling
Strong proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Bentley software tools
Familiarity with DOE regulations, NQA-1 requirements, and nuclear facility engineering standards
Experience supporting engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects
U.S. Citizenship required due to federal project requirements

Education & Preferred Qualifications:

Associate degree in Civil/Technical Design or equivalent experience

Experience designing for DOE, federal government, or nuclear quality assurance programs is highly preferred
