Job Title: Occupational Therapist

License: Current Occupational Therapy license in the State of California
Certifications: BLS certification within 2 months of hire

Job Description:
- Provide occupational therapy evaluation and treatment for patients.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that integrate goals, outcomes, and discharge planning.
- Engage in a caseload consisting of 35% acute care and 65% outpatient, with a mix of orthopedic and adult neurological cases.
- Facilitate hand therapy and splint fabrication.
- Demonstrate professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Maintain effective interpersonal skills to collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ensure precise documentation in accordance with the guidelines and requirements of regulatory agencies, professional associations, and third-party payers.
- Show proficiency in the use of basic computer software and be able to learn hospital-specific applications.
- Follow and exhibit knowledge of policies and procedures related to infection control, workplace safety, and HIPAA compliance.
- Participate in educational activities and comply with annual competency requirements.
- Contribute to the department's goals, participate in QA/PI activities, and undertake special projects as assigned.
- Exhibit values-based decision-making in performance duties and model service delivery standards for customer satisfaction.
- Ensure knowledge of and involvement in departmental procedures and standards of care.
