Senior Director of Human Resources Job Summary

In this role, you'll work closely with our Vice President of HR to shape the future of our organization and help our team members thrive. You'll take the lead on talent acquisition, associate relations, performance management, and so much more - all while nurturing a positive, inclusive culture.

Essential Job Functions

  • Strategic HR Partnering: Work together with leadership to create and implement HR strategies that support company goals and set us up for success both now and in the future.
  • Keeping Us Legal: Stay ahead of the curve on labor laws, regulations, and policies to ensure we're always in compliance. You'll handle audits and make sure everything's running smoothly.
  • HR Systems Savvy: Oversee HR operations and ensure we're maximizing the potential of our HR systems and technologies. Help us keep things streamlined, efficient, and accurate.
  • Associate Relations: Build a positive, open work environment where associates feel heard, valued, and recognized. You'll implement programs like associate surveys and recognition initiatives to keep communication flowing and morale high.
  • Performance Management: Lead the charge on performance programs that encourage growth, provide constructive feedback, and help associates reach their full potential.
  • Training & Development: Design fun, engaging training programs that will equip associates with new skills and help them advance. You'll also support leadership initiatives to build the next generation of company leaders.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Collaborate with the VPHR to create competitive compensation and benefits packages that attract and retain top talent. Keep our compensation structures fresh and aligned with industry standards.
  • Talent Acquisition & Retention: Partner with the VPHR to recruit top-tier talent and develop innovative strategies to keep associates engaged and growing. You'll focus on career development and succession planning to ensure a bright future for everyone.
  • Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion: Be a champion of DEI in the workplace! You'll develop programs and initiatives to ensure we're fostering an inclusive and respectful environment for everyone.
  • Metrics & Reporting: Manage the HR department's budget and keep leadership in the loop with regular reporting on key HR metrics like turnover, engagement, and other important KPIs.
  • Change Management: Support our efforts to guide associates through organizational changes, making sure transitions are smooth and everyone stays motivated throughout the process.
  • Tech-Savvy HR: You'll need to be comfortable with HRIS, ATS, LMS, payroll, and performance management systems to keep everything running like a well-oiled machine. Bonus points if you're familiar with HR analytics tools, benefits administration platforms, and collaboration tools.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field required.
  • A master's degree and/or certification from a recognized HR organization (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive HR experience, including leadership role preferably in a multi-state organization.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and Teams platform.
  • Experience working with UKG, Power BI, and other HRIS/analytics platforms and data-drive decision-making.
  • An HR leader with a proven track record of driving talent management and organizational development at scale.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills to work effectively with associates at all levels.
  • A creative problem-solver who can navigate change and keep associates motivated through transitions.
