Sr. Associate, Employee & Labor Relations

Overview:

The Sr. Associate, Employee and Labor Relations will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing strategies and policies related to employee and labor relations. This role requires a strong understanding of employment law, labor relations, and best practices in managing employee relations issues. They will work closely with HR, business and regional leaders, and employees to resolve conflicts, promote a positive work environment, and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding workplace concerns, grievances, and disputes. Facilitate conflict resolution and mediate between employees and management to address and resolve issues.
  • Conduct investigations into employee complaints and concerns, ensuring thorough documentation and adherence to legal and company standards. Prepare reports and recommend appropriate actions based on findings.
  • Provide guidance on the interpretation and application of employee relations policies.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and labor agreements across all jurisdictions where the firm operates. Stay informed about changes in labor laws and regulations and advise on their impact.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for managers and employees on employee relations topics, including conflict resolution, effective communication, and compliance with labor laws.
  • Promote and support initiatives that enhance employee engagement and satisfaction. Collaborate with HR teams to implement programs that foster a positive work culture and address employee needs.
  • Track and analyze employee relations data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and potential risks. Prepare and present reports to senior management with recommendations for action.
  • Provide support and expertise to HR teams on complex employee relations issues. Collaborate with HR partners to implement solutions and best practices.
Key Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) are a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in employee and labor relations or a related field, with a proven track record in managing employee relations issues in a large, multinational organization.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws, labor relations practices, and conflict resolution techniques. Experience with collective bargaining and labor union interactions is highly desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with HR management systems and tools.
Full-time Positions and Part-time Positions Over 30 hours

The salary range is $85,000 - $105,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.
