Role
Reporting to the Assistant Deputy Minister, Housing the Executive Director will lead a team of professionals responsible for the comprehensive oversight and strategic management of Alberta's Continuing Care Capital Plan. This includes the development, implementation, and reporting of capital grant programs. They will also ensure strategic oversight for capital maintenance, capital renewal, and strategic and operations management including overseeing the development of short and long-term capital plans, reporting, financial reporting, budgeting, and business case development. The Executive Director will play a pivotal role in the ongoing implementation of the Continuing Care Transformation Capital Program and the stewardship of continuing care asset management. Playing a critical role in the successful implementation of the new structure for continuing care in Alberta, the Executive Director will take the key leadership role ensuring the capital planning and programs are effectively managed to support indigenous facilities, modernize existing facilities, expanding targeted communities, and developing small-case care facilities. They will also play a key role ensuring the effective allocation and management of these funds to achieve the program's objectives and be pivotal in addressing unique care and support needs of people living with dementia, young adults with disabilities, and other individuals with overlapping health needs.
