What You'll Do
- Lead the development of top-down and bottom-up plans for sales, margin, and inventory
- Partner with Merchandising to identify key business strategies and drive operational execution
- Be proficient in preseason and in-season processes, including:
- Midsight
- Hindsight
- Investment review
- OTB
- Lead the forecasting of sales, margin, markdowns, and inventories on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis
- Work closely with merchandising team members and the extended cross-functional teams
- Manage inventory at distribution centers and oversee allocation to stores and wholesale customers
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with cross-functional partners in:
- Sourcing
- Supply Chain
- Marketing
- Wholesale
- Field Leadership
- Collaborate with peers to:
- Ensure consistency of information
- Share best practices
- Develop systems knowledge
- Manage and develop the planning team
What You'll Bring
- BA/BS degree or equivalent industry experience required
- A minimum of seven years of experience, including at least three to four years of management experience
- Expertise in top-down and bottom-up financial planning processes and systems, with a strong understanding of financial measures such as sales, gross margin, weeks on hand, and weeks of supply, and how to optimize them
- A proven ability to drive profitability at the division/department level and an understanding of its impact on the total business
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to clearly present and support business strategies
- Hands-on leadership skills, with the ability to develop and motivate a team
- A strong track record of fostering team performance through continuous sharing of best practices
- A passion for working in a challenging, fast-paced, and dynamic environment
