Operations Manager
Position Type: Permanent, Full Time

Mission
As the Operations Manager, you are responsible for all aspects operational activities, ensuring efficiency, and achieving organizational goals. The Operations Manage is a part of the site management team, and as such must balance competing priorities while optimizing resource allocation and managing operational risks.
- Manages a multi-disciplinary team, overseeing all operational functions within the organization including production, supply chain, logistics, and quality.
- Develops and implements strategies to optimize operational processes, maximizes productivity, and minimizes costs while upholding quality, health and safety for his team, and regulatory standards.
- Drives operational excellence, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuing seamless execution of day-to-day operations.
- Ensures the deployment of the Continuous Improvement Program within his areas of responsibility. Feeds continuously the Improvement and Transformation projects pipeline to meet strategic goals.
- Fosters a positive attitude throughout the facility ensuring that all employees are aligned with the company goals and vision, applying tact, sensitivity and professionalism through strong communication practices and policies.
- Promotes strong training practices for new and current employees.
- Initiates, implements, documents and manages the site maintenance program based on best practices in the industry with emphasis on planning/scheduling and preventative/predictive maintenance following a "Total Preventative Maintenance" approach while tracking key site indicators and following regulating requirements.
- Strives to continually improve HR functions and efficiencies
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred
- Minimum 6-10 years' experience in a plant management role
- Ability to be firm, fair, and consistent in decision-making and able to professionally provide objective feedback
- Must be knowledgeable of industry quality standards and processes
- Must be knowledgeable of general engineering and manufacturing development processes and tools
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Applications
