Job Summary

Diligent Solutions is seeking an experienced Automation Test Engineer to support DoD programs by leading the implementation of automated testing strategies across application stacks. This role is ideal for a highly motivated professional who thrives in Agile Scrum and Waterfall environments and has expertise in automation frameworks, DevOps integration, and continuous testing. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Cucumber, AWS GovCloud, Eggplant, and SonarQube.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Develop and execute automation test strategies across Agile Scrum and Waterfall testing teams.
• Create automated test scripts using industry-standard languages and frameworks, including Cucumber.
• Implement and maintain continuous testing solutions through DevOps-Test orchestration layers.
• Collaborate with DevOps, software engineers, and cross-functional teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Analyze underlying application architectures, backend processes, and databases to develop efficient test automation.
• Enhance and optimize automated testing strategies, ensuring scalability and reusability.
• Research and implement new tools and frameworks, including Eggplant and SonarQube, to enhance testing efficiency.
• Work within Cloud-based CI/CD environments, specifically AWS GovCloud, to streamline automation testing.
• Ensure adherence to DoD regulations, including data governance, security standards, and Section 508 compliance to drive better governance and accountability in data management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 10+ years of experience in automation testing within DoD programs.
• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain interim to start.
• IAT II Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
• Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks, scripting languages, and DevOps tools.
• Hands-on experience with Cucumber, AWS GovCloud, Eggplant, and SonarQube.
• Experience in integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines in cloud environments.
• Ability to work in Agile Scrum and Waterfall development environments.
• Strong understanding of application architecture, databases, and backend processes.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
