GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Chief Operating Officer reports to the President & Chief Executive Officer. This position is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team and works closely with all divisions and all levels of organizational leadership including the Board of Directors, CEO, Executive Leadership Team, Directors, Managers, and Supervisors. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the COO is an ambassador for healthcare who upholds and advances the Mission, Vision, Values and Strategic Plan of the organization.
The Chief Operating Officer provides executive leadership for Tift Regional Medical Center. A key focus of this position is to work to coordinate and integrate care and services as well as lead or participate in evaluation of new care delivery models to assist the organization in its pursuit of the mission.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Master's degree in business, healthcare administration or related field is required
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Five to ten years of Hospital Administration experience or relevant progressive leadership experience.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:
FACHE preferred
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Broad range of executive skills and experience consistent with the position's scope of responsibilities to include a combination of leadership, human, business, political, facilitative and decision-making abilities, industry knowledge and customer service orientation
