Nous sommes la recherche d'un(e) Concepteur Mcanique Principal(e) pour rejoindre notre quipe Montral!

Le candidat retenu participera la conception des composants CBTC tels que les racks, les sous-racks, les botiers en bord de route, l'intgration COTS, afin de rpondre aux normes mcaniques et environnementales CENELEC et AREMA applicables aux chemins de fer.

Exigences principales:

• Effectuer la conception mcanique l'aide d'outils tels que CREO, Solid Edge
• Appliquer la connaissance des processus de fabrication
• Attnuation de la corrosion
• Effectuer des simulations mcaniques et thermiques l'aide d'outils standard de l'industrie tels que ANSYS, CREO Advanced Simulation, Flotherm et IcePak
• Effectuer des analyses de vibrations, y compris des tracs PSD
• Rdiger et relier les exigences l'aide d'outils de gestion appropris tels que DOORs et Polarion
• Travailler en harmonie dans un environnement d'quipe tout en maintenant un haut degr de professionnalisme dans le travail et dans les relations avec les autres
• Dvelopper les membres juniors de l'quipe du dpartement en leur apportant une assistance, le cas chant
• Des dplacements occasionnels peuvent tre ncessaires sur les sites des clients, jusqu' trois fois par an

Comptences et exprience requises:

• Baccalaurat en gnie mcanique ou civil ou combinaison quivalente de diplmes et d'exprience professionnelle
• 6 10 ans d'exprience dans l'industrie
• Excellente connaissance de la conception mcanique l'aide d'outils tels que CREO, Solid Edge
• Matrise des simulations mcaniques et thermiques l'aide d'outils standard tels que ANSYS, CREO Advanced Simulation, IcePak
• Connaissance avre du contrle de la compatibilit lectromagntique (cblage, techniques de mise la terre, joints, passages de cbles, etc.)
• Connaissance exceptionnelle des proprits mcaniques des matriaux, y compris des dfaillances dues la fatigue
• Connaissance suprieure de la protection contre les infiltrations pour les botiers et familiarit avec les diffrents classements tels que IP et NEMA
• Familiarit avec les essais de validation et de vrification, en particulier les essais thermiques et les essais de vibration
• Comptences verbales professionnelles permettant une communication claire et sans ambigut
• Comptences rdactionnelles excellente permettant de prparer des documents, des dossiers de travail, etc. dans un format clair et concis, avec suffisamment d'informations pour ne pas ncessiter d'claircissements supplmentaires
• Capacit suivre des instructions et des consignes de travail et faire preuve de discernement dans l'excution des tches qui lui sont confies
• Capacit prsenter efficacement le pour et le contre de diffrentes lignes d'action
• Tenir a jours des progrs sur toutes les tches assignes
• Vrifier que tous les travaux assigns ont t effectus avec prcision

Comptences et exprience souhaites:

• Plus de 10 ans d'exprience dans l'industrie de la signalisation ferroviaire en travaillant avec des normes internationales
• Expert en conception mcanique l'aide d'outils tels que CREO, Solid Edge
• Expertise en matire de simulations mcaniques et thermiques l'aide d'outils standard tels que ANSYS, CREO Advanced Simulation, IcePak
• Connaissance approfondie des principes des chocs et des vibrations qui ont un impact sur les conceptions mcaniques. Comprhension de la fatigue et de la propagation des fissures
• Exprience confirme dans l'analyse des dfaillances et dans l'valuation ou la proposition d'amliorations de la conception existante
• Conception et ralisation d'essais pour vrifier la fonctionnalit de l'quipement, pour vrifier les simulations et pour identifier et rsoudre les problmes
• Capacit utiliser des outils de mesure vibratoire et thermique en laboratoire et sur site
• Connatre les mthodes d'attnuation de la corrosion et avoir une bonne comprhension de la corrosion galvanique
• Examiner les spcifications, normes, rgles, contrats, etc. applicables aux exigences de conception et s'assurer que les mesures appropries rsultant de cet examen ont t prises pour garantir que les conceptions sont conformes toutes les exigences applicables
• Avoir des comptences approfondies et tre jour avec la technologie de la discipline
• Certification: PEO

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Designer to join our team in Montreal!

The successful candidate will assist in the design of CBTC components like racks, sub-racks, wayside enclosures, COTS integration, to meet the applicable railway CENELEC and AREMA mechanical and environmental standards.

Key Requirements:

• Perform mechanical design using tools like CREO, Solid Edge
• Apply the knowledge of manufacturing processes
• Corrosion mitigation
• Perform mechanical and thermal simulations using industry standard tools like ANSYS, CREO Advanced Simulation, Flotherm and IcePak
• Perform vibration analysis including PSD plots
• Write and link requirements using appropriate management tools such as DOORs and Polarion
• Responsible for working harmoniously in a team environment while maintaining a high degree of professionalism in the job and in relations with others
• Developing junior team members of the department by providing assistance, as required
• Occasional travel may be required to customer sites, up to three times per year

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering or equivalent combination of diplomas and work experience
• 6 to 10 years of experience in industry
• Excellent knowledge of mechanical design using tools like CREO, Solid Edge
• Proficient with mechanical and thermal simulations using industry standard tools like ANSYS, CREO Advanced Simulation, IcePak
• Proven knowledge of EMC control (Cabling, Grounding techniques, gasketing, cable passthroughs etc.)
• Exceptional knowledge of mechanical material properties including fatigue failure
• Superior knowledge of ingress protection for enclosures and familiarity with the different ratings such as IP and NEMA
• Familiarity with Validation and Verification testing, especially thermal and vibration testing
• Professional verbal skills to allow clear communication without ambiguity
• Perfected writing skills to allow documents, work packages, etc. to be prepared in a clear and concise format with sufficient information so that further clarification is not required
• The ability to follow directions and work instructions, and to use good judgement in the performance of assigned work
• The ability to effectively present pros and cons for various courses of action
• Keeping track of progress on all assigned tasks
• Verifying that all assigned work has been completed accurately

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Over 10 years of experience in Railway Signalling industry working with international standards
• Expert with mechanical design using tools like CREO, Solid Edge
• Expertise with mechanical and thermal simulations using industry standard tools like ANSYS, CREO Advanced Simulation, IcePak
• In depth knowledge of shock and vibration principals that impact mechanical designs. Understanding of fatigue and crack propagation
• Proven track record in performing failure analysis and assessing or providing proposed improvements to the existing design
• Devising and running tests to verify equipment functionality, to verify simulations and for identifying and solving problems
• Able to use vibration and thermal measurement tools in lab and at site
• Knowledgeable in corrosion mitigation methods and have a good understanding of galvanic corrosion
• Reviewing any applicable specifications, standards, rules, contracts etc., for design requirements and ensuring that the appropriate actions resulting from this review have been taken to ensure that designs are compliant with all applicable requirements
• Proficient skills and current with the technology of the discipline
• Certification: PEO
