Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist

Experience:
License: SLP license in good standing with the State of Oregon
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certified by the American Heart Association (AHA)
Must-Have: Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, Graduate of an accredited school of speech language pathology
Job Description:
- Work across outpatient, inpatient, and home health/hospice settings, offering a variety of speech-language pathology services.
- Collaborate with rehabilitation and home health departments, including SLP, occupational and physical therapy services, nursing, and home health aides.
- Engage in one-on-one patient interactions with time included for documentation.
- Participate in an interdisciplinary team within inpatient, outpatient, home health, hospice, and transitional care programs.
- Evaluate patient communication, articulation, physical, cognitive, breathing, and swallowing status to determine the current level of functioning and quality of life.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans involving the patient, family, and social support system.
- Provide skilled interventions to achieve treatment goals, coordinating with caregivers and other healthcare disciplines.
- Maintain documentation following department guidelines and compliance requirements.
- Participate in quality and performance improvement activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, outcome achievement, and customer satisfaction.
- Supervise CFY temporary licensees, students, and support personnel as needed.
- Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Embrace and promote a culture of safety, quality, and a positive patient experience.
Education Required:
- Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from an accredited school of speech language pathology.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in home health, hospital inpatient, and outpatient settings.
Comments:
- This position offers a 50% pediatric outpatient caseload and 50% adult inpatient and outpatient caseload.
- Guaranteed hours will not apply during orientation.
