Job Qualifications
*NYS Certification in District-level administration (SDA or SDL) and at least one World Language and/or TESOL
*Administrative/supervisory experience preferred
*5+ years instructional experience in World Languages and/or ENL
*Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills
Major Responsibilites
*Supervises all aspects of curriculum, instruction, and pedagogy in World Language and ENL education
*Active supervision, observation and evaluation of staff
*Working with District administration in creating and implementing an effective staffing plan for the departments, as well as scheduling and participation in interviewing and candidate selection
*Supervise curriculum and instructional program development in World Language and ENL, as well as integration of same across the curriculum in all grade levels K-12
*Foster a strong, supportive, and collaborative culture within the World Language and ENL departments, as well as between the departments and the entire school community
*Oversight of all programs, assessments, and events related to World Language and ENL
*Maintain close collaboration with their counterparts in other curricular areas grades K-12
*Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee
