Location: Corpus Christi
Responsibilities:
- Build and develop a high-performing processing technology team
- Oversee the selection of processing technologies and production designs for a new U.S. plant, ensuring sustainability, chemical compatibility, and economic feasibility.
- Execute key engineering projects to improve production yield, process automation, and capacity, while benchmarking best practices
- Lead industrial and life sciences production technology initiatives
- Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize costs, enhance capacity, and improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering and plant operations teams to construct a state-of-the-art
- Manage and develop science, engineering, and technology projects from ideation to validation, ensuring timely capital expenditure and construction decisions.
- Improve technology development processes
- Lead, mentor, and develop the process technology team throughout pre-construction, construction, and commissioning of a new U.S. production facility.
- Develop and execute a multi-year plan to enhance production efficiency and economics using advanced processing technologies.
- Establish and maintain strategic research partnerships with universities and laboratories to support R&D and innovation.
- Serve as the lead technical expert for production technology in the Americas, supporting global engineering initiatives and ensuring compliance with lean manufacturing and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Chemistry, Mechanical, Chemical, Process, Civil, or Production Engineering; PhD preferred, with expertise in Magnesium-based materials production.
- At least 10 years of experience in production environments, including chemistry, life sciences, processing technology, industrial design, and engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of direct management, design, and supervision of accredited technology projects.
- Preferred experience in specialty chemicals production.
- Accredited experience in designing, building, and commissioning chemical industry production facilities is highly desirable.
