This Senior Engineer will own the design, development, and implementation of scalable, high-performance logistics and material handling systems. The role will require a strong background in mechanical engineering, automation, system optimization, and controls to enhance the efficiency and reliability of our operations. Key job responsibilities
Core Responsibilities:
\tDesign and develop engineering solutions for complex material handling challenges, integrating mechanical design, automation, and controls.
\tImprove and develop scalable, efficient machines and processes for large-scale deployments.
\tLead and coordinate concept and design efforts, including equipment specifications, material flow, safety, ergonomics, and operational needs.
\tCollaborate with vendors, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to create solutions that drive efficiency and scalability.
\tManage and execute high-visibility projects, influencing stakeholders across business units and regions.
\tProvide technical leadership for large-scale projects, ensuring operational excellence and compliance.
\tConduct post-mortem reviews on deployed designs to drive continuous improvement.
\tLead process improvement initiatives, leveraging data analytics, Lean methodologies, and Six Sigma principles.
\tMaintain technical specifications, SOPs, and operational guidelines.
Industrial & Controls Integration:
\tDevelop and maintain control system specifications for material handling and automation projects.
\tIntegrate mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring seamless hardware and automation interaction.
\tCollaborate with controls engineers and software developers to optimize automation strategies.
\tImplement PLC-based control systems, HMI/SCADA interfaces, and industrial network communication.
\tSupport troubleshooting and optimization of automation equipment to ensure high uptime.
\tImplement robotics and AI-driven automation solutions to enhance efficiency.
\tAbility to travel up to 20% for interactions with business and technical leaders in North America, Europe, and Asia.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
\t8+ years of progressively responsible experience in mechatronics engineering, logistics, or manufacturing environments.
\tExpertise in mechanical design, automated material handling equipment, robotics, and high-speed manufacturing systems.
\tStrong background in control systems, PLC programming, and industrial automation.
\tExperience using AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Project, and simulation tools.
\tStrong project management skills, with experience leading complex, multi-site initiatives.
\tExcellent technical writing skills for specifications, technical documents, and process documentation.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
\tMaster's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
\tExperience with logistics, production business models, and process automation.
\tBackground in innovation, R&D, and technology development for industrial applications.

The base pay for this position ranges from $118,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $205,600/year in our highest geographic market.
