Job Overview: The Vice President of Operations will oversee and manage all aspects of operations across multiple locations, including warehousing, production, distribution, inventory management, and facilities management. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the company's production and distribution and streamlining those operations over multiple locations. The VP of Operations will drive strategic planning, process improvement, cost optimization, resource allocation, and the maintenance of safe and functional facilities. The role requires close collaboration with senior leadership to establish long-term operational goals and drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership: Lead and direct the operations across multiple warehouses, production plants and distribution centers. Ensure seamless integration and optimization of processes across locations.
- Inventory Management: Oversee the entire inventory management process, ensuring optimal stock levels, accurate forecasting, and effective stock replenishment. Implementing and monitoring effective controls and safeguards. Monitor inventory turnover and implement measures to reduce waste, stockouts, and overstocking.
- Facilities Management: Ensure that all operational facilities (warehouses, production facilities, distribution centers, and administrative offices) are maintained in optimal condition. Oversee facility safety, cleanliness, and ongoing maintenance, and manage relationships with facility vendors and contractors.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement long-term operational strategies to enhance efficiency, scalability, and profitability. Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure performance meets organizational objectives.
- Supply Chain Management (global): Support and liaise with Global Logistics Team and Global Supply Chain Team on incoming products. Oversee the entire outgoing delivery process. Optimize inventory levels, minimize supply chain risks, and ensure product quality standards are met.
- Supply Chain Management (domestic): Support and liaise with Global Logistics Team and Global Supply Chain Team on incoming finished good products. As it relates to production materials and raw materials, oversee the entire supply chain process, ensuring timely production, inventory management, and delivery. Optimize inventory levels, minimize supply chain risks, and ensure product quality standards are met.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity, reduce costs, and improve quality. Lead efforts to streamline operations and eliminate inefficiencies through lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other best practices.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor senior operational managers across all locations. Foster a high-performance culture, ensuring staff at all levels are motivated, engaged, and aligned with company goals.
- Budget and Financial Oversight: Develop and manage the operational budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and meeting financial targets. Monitor financial performance and identify areas for cost savings or investment.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding warehousing, production, inventory management, and facilities operations. Lead initiatives to maintain a safe, compliant, and sustainable working environment for all employees.
- Collaboration with Senior Leadership: Work closely with the CEO, CFO, and other executives to align operations with the company's strategic goals. Provide regular updates on operational performance, challenges, and opportunities for growth.
- Technology and Innovation: Stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends, technologies, and innovations in warehousing, inventory management, facilities management, and supply chain operations. Evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance operational efficiency and data analytics capabilities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field.
- 10+ years of senior-level operations experience, with a proven track record of managing multi-location operations in warehousing, production, distribution, inventory management, and facilities management.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management, logistics, inventory control, and facilities operations.
- Proven experience in optimizing inventory processes and reducing operational costs through improved forecasting, stock control, and distribution methods.
- Demonstrated experience in managing facilities maintenance, safety, and vendor relationships.
- Experience in strategic planning, process optimization, and cost control.
- Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and manage cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of industry regulations, compliance standards, and safety protocols.
- Proficient in ERP systems, supply chain management software, inventory management tools, and facilities management software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in a related field.
- Experience in the implementation of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- International operations experience is a plus.
- Proven ability to manage complex budgets and financial forecasting.
