THE POSITION

The nursing department is seeking an organized Nurse Manager 2 to direct, coordinate, and evaluate the provision of nursing services and operations. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
A Nurse Manager 2 is an administrative and professional role acting as an Assistant Nursing Executive (ANE) planning, administering, and managing consistent psychiatric treatment and medical nursing care of mentally ill patients. You will coordinate nursing programs with other facility disciplines, development and implement comprehensive care, and provide necessary support enabling staff to empower patients throughout recovery. This role requires the ability to utilize leadership and managerial skills to effectively direct and supervise nursing care while ensuring service delivery is consistent and compliant with policies, standards, and procedures. In addition, you will monitor licenses and renewals, prepare budgets and proposals for equipment, and monitor effective staff utilization.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. May change based on operational needs.
- You may be assigned to monitor other shifts, rotating weekends, and days off. You may be assigned to cover other shifts, on-call duty, and may need to flex working time.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years as a Nurse Manager 1 (commonwealth title) in a facility providing nursing care and services for people with a mental or physical injury, illness, or developmental disability; or
- Eight years of professional nursing experience, including three years in a managerial capacity providing care and services for people with a mental or physical injury, illness, or developmental disability; and a bachelor's degree in nursing, nursing education, or nursing administration. A master's degree in nursing, nursing education, or nursing administration may be substituted for up to one year of the required general professional nursing work experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes three years in a managerial capacity providing nursing care and services for people with a mental or physical injury, illness, or developmental disability.
Special Requirements:
- You must have active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
- All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
Other Requirements:
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
