As an Engineer, Electrical Distribution System (EDS) Components Design Responsible Engineer (DRE), you will play a crucial role in the design and development of all EDS components, including shields, troughs, connectors, terminals, and power distribution components, from concept to production launch.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop EDS components, ensuring compliance with safety standards and U.S. government regulations.
- Work with Purchasing and Finance teams to develop technical specifications for quoting and sourcing components.
- Develop and maintain a standard library of core EDS components aligned with global group owners for wiring and power distribution systems.
- Collaborate with module owners, and suppliers to define and release EDS and power distribution components.
- Participate in virtual and physical verification testing, including field testing.
- Contribute to the design of production facilities for trucks & SUVs.
- Manage supplier resources effectively to meet cost, timing, and quality targets.
- Continuously improve designs based on consumer experience feedback.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture while promoting professional development.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in electrical wire harness and/or power distribution component design and release within the automotive industry.
- Strong expertise in wire harness component design, applying a Six Sigma approach to engineering and problem-solving.
- Experience with computer-aided engineering (CAE) tools.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with teams across all levels of an organization.
- Adaptability to a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a problem-solving mindset.
