Reporting to the Director, the Senior Manager is responsible for ensuring the delivery of Videotron's and Freedom Mobile's IP backhaul networks.

Job Description

More specifically, you will be responsible for:

• Develop the plan to meet the business objectives of your sector;
• Make decisions based on financial and human factors and sector objectives;
• Take a decision-making role in complex technical situations affecting operations;
• Manage specialists and solve complex problems;
• Participate in the introduction of new backhaul IP equipment and technologies through validation, production piloting and transfer to operations;
• Ensure the engineering and optimisation of Backhaul IP network projects;
• Ensure optimisation of annual Backhaul IP network growth and maintenance investments;
• Articulate and execute annual integrity plans to maintain capacity, reliability and performance of Backhaul IP networks;
• Provide Level 3 support to the Operations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science with specialization in Telecommunications;
• Minimum of 10 years of telecommunications experience and 5 years of people management experience;
• Relevant network interconnection skills and experience;
• Experienced manager with inspirational leadership, proven communication skills, and the ability to mobilize a team of specialized professionals with a sense of urgency and priority management;
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in collaboration with different sectors and suppliers;
• Analytical and synthesis skills to deal with ambiguity, make informed decisions and communicate complex technical issues;
• Bilingualism required, as the employee will often need to communicate with English-speaking external partners and suppliers, as well as employees and colleagues outside of Qubec;
• OIQ membership a plus;
• Valid driver's license.
