Job Summary
The EDI Analyst is responsible for defining Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) requirements, specifying integration solutions, testing, documentation and monitoring and supporting all data transmissions with trading partners and works closely with trading partners, business process owners and members of the technical team to provide effective IT business solutions.

Job Summary
The EDI Analyst is responsible for defining Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) requirements, specifying integration solutions, testing, documentation and monitoring and supporting all data transmissions with trading partners and works closely with trading partners, business process owners and members of the technical team to provide effective IT business solutions.
Primary Objectives
- Define and document EDI requirements through collaboration with customers and business partners.
- Test, monitor, troubleshoot, and support EDI transactions to ensure seamless integration with business processes.
- Implement and optimize EDI solutions to support operations.
- Define EDI requirements with trading partners through identification of business processes and EDI triggers.
- Document business processes and test plans through flow charts, data mapping and specifications.
- Monitor inbound/outbound EDI transactions made to databases. Troubleshoot issues and resolve in a timely manner.
- Establish collaborative relationships with trading partners, business process owners, and IT partners to provide effective solutions and support.
- Leverage EDI solutions for current or future trading partners.
- Set up and document new message requirements with trading partners.
- Prioritize tasks in an environment integral to logistic processes and customer metrics.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field or equivalent combination of coursework and experience in a directly related field required
- 3+ years of EDI business integration experience that includes operational and billing related messages required
- Experience in mapping business processes with data requirements from multiple formats necessary required
- Experience in the logistics, supply chain, or transportation industry preferred
- Fluency in SQL and process software tools.
- Skill with the following formats: EDI, XML, proprietary application, defined layout, and similar formats.
- Ability to communicate effectively and understand the needs of both technical and non-technical trading partners and internal clients.
- Ability to document beyond a trading partner point solution.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and conceptual thinking skills.
- Ability to develop and implement multiple projects on time.
- Experience with Microsoft Biztalk preferred.
- Experience with Boomi preferred.
