Job Summary and Qualifications
The Trauma Program Manager (TPM) works with the Trauma Medical Director (TMD) and hospital leadership to assure optimal trauma patient care services, quality outcomes and compliance with standards for Trauma Center designation and verification. The TPM strives to achieve successful outcomes for all care and programs associated with the trauma service, serves as operational director for all program initiatives and requirements. The TPM is involved with administrative operations, financial support, clinical services, educational activities, outreach initiatives, and research activities of the Trauma Center. This position maintains responsibility/accountability for 24-hour day management.

What you will do in this role:
- In collaboration with the Emergency Services Leadership, the CNO, and the Trauma Medical Director, the Trauma Program Manager will direct the care of trauma patient's hospital wide and support the stated mission, vision and values of Medical City Alliance.
- This role is responsible for the organization of services and systems necessary for a multidisciplinary approach to providing care to injured patients.
- This role also supports emergency preparedness activities as it relates to the care of trauma patients.
- The Trauma Program Manager (TPM) is responsible for the coordination of the clinical, educational, planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of all components of the Trauma Services Program.
- Collaborates with all healthcare professionals to establish the standards of trauma care, and assures that all are current with ACS and designation requirements from TDH.
What qualifications you will need:
Education:
- BSN required.
- Masters in Nursing, Healthcare Administration or Business preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years nursing experience in the Emergency Department or in Trauma Services inside an acute Trauma care environment.
Licenses, Registrations and / or Certifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, and Registered Nurse License eligible to practice in the State of Texas required.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification required from HCA approved vendor.
- Current TNCC required, instructor preferred.
- Current ENPC required, instructor preferred.
- TCRN preferred.
- Trauma registry experience preferred.
- Trauma Outcomes and Process Improvement Course (TOPIC) required within 1 year of hire.
