General Description
This is professional leadership and supervisory work in deploying and managing complex Audio Visual (AV) and Information Technology (IT) systems. The City of Madison IT Department will provide IT advice and support to assist Monona Terrace and this position. This role performs budgetary and purchasing responsibilities for the Monona Terrace AV department. This position requires considerable judgement and ability to make decisions independently. This position is also project manager for technology installations at Monona Terrace and provides general supervision for Monona Terrace Technical Services Specialists and part-time stagehands.

Examples of Duties and Responsibilities
Management Monona Terrace Technology SystemsManage and troubleshoot network security cameras with the City of Madison IT Department assistance. Coordinate and manage cell phones with vendor assistance. Analyze, research, recommend, coordinate and implement upgrades, enhancements to the computer network or server systems with vendor and/or the City of Madison IT Department assistance. Manage backup ISP (Internet) connections with vendor assistance. Setup and maintain software and hardware maintenance contracts for IT equipment. Maintain network documentation. Work with clients to provide custom IT solutions. Oversee Monona Terrace Audio Visual Department
Minimum Qualifications
Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in the setup and/or installation, repair, and operation of audio/visual, electronic, computer, and related equipment which includes at least two (2) years of leadership experience.
An Associate's degree or higher in computer science or a related field may substitute for two (2) years of experience in the setup and/or installation, repair, and operation of audio/visual, electronic, computer, and related equipment.

Management Monona Terrace Technology Systems
- Manage day-to-day operations of with support from vendor consultants and/or the City of Madison IT Department:
- Wired and wireless networks.
- Virtual server hosts.
- Backup systems.
- Phone and voicemail system.

- Manage two fulltime Technical Services Specialists and part time staff members.
- Assist with management of day-to-day AV operations.
- Setup and maintain Audio Visual Equipment rental contracts.
- Develop short- and long-term plans to meet client technology needs.
- Oversee and maintain inventory of AV/IT equipment.
- Work with clients to provide custom AV solutions.
- Attend bi-weekly Management Meetings.
- Provide operating and capital budget requests for Audio Visual Equipment and Computer, Server and Network equipment.
- Coordinate and manage operating and capital expenditures.
- Follow the City's purchasing process to procure equipment and services for operating and capital purchases. Use MUNIS to generate requisitions, purchase orders and pay invoices.
- Attend budget meetings.

Physical Requirements:
- Work is primarily sedentary in nature and performed in an office environment.
- Employees will be expected to use standard office equipment such as a telephone, computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine.
- Employees must have the physical strength, coordination and acuity inherent to set up, install and test computers as assigned.
- Must lift 50 pounds occasionally, 20-25 pounds on a regular basis and occasionally team lift 100 pounds.
- Will work with arms overhead for extended periods, bend, twist, stoop, climb ladders, work from aerial lift trucks, engage in strenuous activities and perform other manual laboring tasks
